Role Description

The Board of Directors serves as the governing body of the Federation of Haitian Chambers of Commerce (FHCC). Each Full Member Chamber appoints at least one official representative to serve on the Board and participate in the governance and strategic leadership of the Federation. As a reminder, you can have two other representatives from your board or chamber to represent you in your absence. They can be added to our group chat and email list so they can stay up to
date.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Represent the interests of the appointing member chamber.
  • Establish the Federation’s long-term vision, strategic direction, and priorities.
  • Approve policies, budgets, and major organizational initiatives.
  • Participate in governance decisions through voting.
  • Serve on at least one standing committee.
  • Support membership growth and chamber engagement.
  • Promote collaboration among member chambers.
  • Uphold the Federation’s bylaws, policies, and Code of Ethics.
  • Serve as ambassadors of FHCC within their communities and professional networks.
  • Participate actively in meetings, programs, and strategic initiatives.

Expectations

  • Attend Board meetings regularly.
  • Participate in committee work.
  • Support Federation programs and events.
  • Maintain open communication with their member chamber.
  • Advance the Federation’s mission through leadership and collaboration.

As a reminder: Your board membership dues renewal may be coming up. Please be on the look out for communication. Dues are required to remain an active voting member of the Federation. (Fees have been waived for your first year)

  • Sèvi kòm anbasadè FHCC nan kominote yo ak nan rezo pwofesyonèl yo. networks.
