Join us for an unforgettable evening at the Exclusive Atlanta Premiere of a powerful new film selected for the prestigious Tribeca Festival. The name of the film will be announced after June 5th. Special guests will be in attendance.

Hosted by SOIL Pictures, Morehouse College Human Rights Film Festival, Alliance Française d’Atlanta, and the Atlanta Haitian World Cup Council, the evening will celebrate storytelling, human rights, culture, and the global Haitian experience through film.

Making its World Premiere at the 2026 Tribeca Film Festival in the International Narrative Competition, this landmark production becomes the first narrative feature filmed entirely in Haiti to premiere at the festival.

The story follows Ruben, a young man who returns to his homeland on foot in search of reconciliation with his estranged father. Along the way, he forms an unexpected bond with a persistent street child who joins him on the journey, leading to moments of humor, vulnerability, and healing.

Haitian actor Stevenson Jean delivers a quietly powerful performance as Ruben, alongside rising Haitian talent Blangue Machiny, whose warmth and charisma bring heart to the film. Shot in Cap-Haïtien with a majority Haitian cast and crew, the production offers an intimate and authentic portrait of Haiti’s people, landscapes, and everyday life.

Produced by Elisee Junior St. Preux, who also serves as writer and director, alongside Naturi Naughton-Lewis and Two Lewis, the film blends road-movie energy, emotional depth, and rich Haitian storytelling. At its core, it is a moving reflection on intergenerational healing, resilience, human connection, and the enduring spirit of Haiti.
